family based in Paarl is looking for a reliable and nurturing long-term Au Pair & Personal Assistant to assist with their three young daughters. This role is ideal for a mature, organised, and proactive individual who thrives in a structured environment and is passionate about early childhood development and hands-on care.

The family is seeking someone who is calm, consistent, and confident managing multiple children, with a strong focus on maintaining routines, supporting early learning, and planning engaging, age-appropriate activities. This position also includes light personal assistant duties and household coordination, making it perfect for someone who is both caring and highly organised.

A candidate with a teaching or early childhood development background will be highly beneficial, along with a positive, energetic, and structured approach to childcare.

  • Monday – Thursday: 11:00 – 19:00
  • Friday: 11:00 – 17:00
  • Weekends: Ad hoc

Salary

  • R20,000 per month

Mileage

  • SARS rate per km (excluding travel to and from work)

Language Requirement

  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak)

Responsibilities

  • Homework assistance (Grade 1–2)
  • Early learning support (reading, writing, numeracy)
  • Plan engaging, age-appropriate developmental activities
  • Maintain daily routines and structure
  • Lunch preparation and school bag organization
  • Grocery shopping for children’s needs
  • Occasional babysitting
  • Tidy up after meals and playtime
  • Light PA duties (errands, admin, scheduling)
  • Assist with household coordination alongside staff

Requirements

  • Female (35–50)
  • Previous au pair experience (essential)
  • Educational background preferred (Teaching or ECD)
