Perfect Pair Au Pairs is looking for a responsible, caring and flexible Au Pair to assist a family in Klein Parys, Paarlon a short-term, flexible and ad hoc basis.

This position is ideal for an experienced Au Pair who is comfortable with overnight and live-in stays, caring for a 7-year-old child independently while the parent travels for work, and providing reliable support during occasional 3–6 day work trips.

The successful candidate must be available approximately 1–2 times per month when the parent travels for work.

1 Boy – 7 years old

The child generally attends school from approximately 07:00–16:30 on school days.

Salary / Rate

Live-In Travel Rate: R400 – R500 per day

Ad Hoc Babysitting: R120 – R180 per hour

Responsibilities

  • School drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Homework supervision
  • Preparing dinner and school lunches
  • Children’s laundry and tidying
  • Evening babysitting
  • Maintaining the child’s normal routine
  • Staying in while the parent travels for work
  • Providing care and supervision during overnight stays
  • Pet assistance when required
  • Light child-related household duties when required

Special Information

  • The Au Pair will be required approximately 1–2 times per month when the parent travels for work.
  • Work trips are generally 3–6 days, with occasional longer international trips.
  • The successful candidate must be comfortable with overnight and live-in care.
  • Full-day availability is required during work trips.
  • Additional babysitting will be required on an ad hoc basis outside of travel periods.
  • Weekends and school holidays may occasionally be required on an ad hoc basis.
  • The child will generally be at school from approximately 07:00–16:30 during school days.
  • The Au Pair must be comfortable caring for the child independently while the parent is travelling.

  • Previous experience working with children
  • Flexible and adaptable personality
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Own reliable vehicle
  • Responsible, reliable and caring
  • Comfortable with overnight and live-in stays
  • Available for occasional 3–6 day periods
  • Comfortable caring for a child independently
  • Able to maintain routines and boundaries
  • Willing to assist with light child-related household duties
  • Comfortable providing pet care when required
